The Design-to-Development Toolkit
Ideation
I begin by thinking through the purpose of the project. Who are the users? What are they trying to do? I collect references, sketch quick concepts, and explore possible directions without jumping to conclusions. This step is about setting a clear, user-centered starting point.
Issue Finding
Once I have a direction, I try to find what might frustrate or confuse users. I look at how they interact with similar products, where they drop off, or what feedback they give. This helps me understand the real problems, not just surface-level ones.
Solution
With a clear problem in mind, I start building a solution. I focus on making it simple, easy to use, and focused on what the user needs. This often means stripping things down, improving flow, and checking that every step makes sense to someone new.
Refinement
I test the design, gather feedback, and look for anything that still feels off. Small changes—like button placement, text clarity, or interaction timing—can make a big difference. I keep refining until the experience feels smooth and natural.
